The scent of cooking waffles wafted over the audience while they enjoyed stellar performances by
Xome, Ritual Waste, CJ Borosque, Noisepsalm and Chopstick.
Xome performed in a small box.
The way-celebrated NorCal Noisefest number 15 or something was held and crowds of people were exasperated by the likes of Big City Orchestra, +DOG+, Xome, Actuary, Endometrium Cuntplow, Thomas Dimuzio, Xdugef, Liver Cancer, Striations, Uberkunst, Overdose the Katatonic, Tralphaz, Jolthrower, Moe! Staiano, The Disappearance of Planet Dwarf Pluto, Deth Sike, Accidental Memories, The Tavalar Technique and, yes, Cartoon Justice. Worst Xome set ever.
This was a ill-attended show of extreme sonic proportions with a rather orgasmic set by Xome... or rather some people in the audience orgasmed. Performing on that night were Xome, Marlo Eggplant and Daryl Shawn/Laure Amat. That guy from Germany never did show up. I guess he's still waiting at the airport to be picked up.
Pancakes and puppets? Noise and nonsense? What more could one ask for? Neat stuff by Scummerai, Xome, Liver Cancer, Rhiknoberus, Jungle Jim, Elise Baldwin, Heartworm and Hypercosmic Alliterata.
Typically noise and BBQ don't go together very well but this evening was the exception to the rule. While culinary delicacies were being prepared outside the place, down in the murky basement one could listen to AC Way, Bonus Beast, Pete Von Petrin, Sharkiface, Overdose the Katatonic, Liver Cancer, Nerfbau, Headboggle, Cerebral Roil, Big Black Butthole, Xome and The Haters. The music was meatier than the what was on the grill.
Yo check it nice: Xome was fortunate enough to perform in the green-ness of the Pacific Northwest with the likes of Blue Sabbath Black Cheer, Merdique, Power Circus, Marlo Eggplant, Renset, Sea of Oaks, Spider Tombs and Sounds Like Mustard.

The men's room there smells bad.
Instead of staying at home and watching an episode of Scrubs, folks were treated to a primavera noise onslaught including Clew of Theseus, Xome, Liver Cancer, Vankmen, klowd, Smite! and Strirations. It appears that a lot of people prepared to be sonically devastated and actually were.
Xome got to play really close to the ground on this lovely evening. The whole NorCal NoiseFest event spanned 2 days with loads and loads of people performing.
Xome played outside in the warm breeze for automobiles getting off the freeway. Also performing were Smite!, Strirations, Mama Buries and more.
Decibel levels recorded prove that Xome is the loudest band in the world. Move over Deep Purple! Also performing on this evening were Al Qaeda, Physical Demon, Instagon, Chemical Angel and Chopstick.
So a lot of people went out into the middle of nowhere to see what kind of musical stuff was going on there. Xome played along with the likes of Actuary, Marion Berry, Pulsating Cyst, Phog Masheeen, Alien Soundtracks, XDUGEF, SisSisters, Endometrium Cuntplow, Conscious Summary, DOG, Brutal Poodle and many, many more.
People were shoved into basement that resembled an Boeing 727. Xome played along side the likes of Blood Into Water, Medicine Cabinet, Nuclear Death Wish, Boozehammer and Key West. I think it got louder than an airplane at one point.
Xome treated the crowd to a choreographed pink floyd-esqe laser light show on this fine evening. Also amazing the audience were Overdose the Katatonic, DOG, Liver Cancer, Xome and Jolthrower.
It was a true noise birthday celebration with cake, party favors, pizza and funny hats.

I surmised that those caffeine filled alcoholic beverages are now the official drink of noisters.
Wonderfully super hugely inflated noise show featured Xome, Liver Cancer, al Qaeda, Twig Harper and Rubber O Cement.
Xome was tickled to death.
This giant concrete structure chock-full of curvy plastics was filled with rambunctious noise for the evening.
This whirlwind show consisted of Caroliner Rainbow, Xome, Loachfillet, Vslfungi, Cypress Bill and Ted Zeppelin's Excellent Adventure in the Key of Real-D and Styrofoam Sanchez.
The degree of organization was to be admired.
This one was held at the place that means 'the corner' in Spanish. Probably because it's located on a corner or something. It was nice indeed. Xome, Instagon, Bonus Beast, and Rubber O Cement belted out some noise muckyness that enchanted the audience very much. The picture on the wall there was sexually arousing.
There were proabably around 1000 people that came and enjoyed much noise for the holiday season on this very day.
Performing in front of huge crowds were Instagon, Xome, Liver Cancer, Chopstick, Wes Steed and Ink on Suit.
A blender was even contact mic'd. How 'noise'!
A cool and copacetic balls-out noise show transpired as coffee flowed rampantly. Along with Xome, also performing were Dick Nose, Noisepsalm, Chopstick and Liver Cancer. I still got the caffeine jitters.
It was the thirteenth installation of the Northern California Noise Festival.
The whole event spanned three days with tons (literally) of people performing but on day number two Xome performed on the same bill with
Jolthrower, Lycanthrope Legions of Noise, Droughter, Blood Into Water, Jess Coble, UEM, Moe! Staiano, Phog Masheeen, Cerebral Roil, Nux Vomica, +DOG+, Actuary, 15 Degrees Below Zero, Lords of Outland, Xdugef, C.J. Borosque, Instagon and Vertonen.
While Xome was rocking extra hard inside, outside there was a local crazy man weilding a samurai sword. Cops arrived just in time to throw up devil horns and pump their fists to noise!
People from all over the Sacramental area as well as Interweb users tuned in KDVS 90.3 and heard sonic frivolity from performers like Xome, Liver Cancer, Hypnotic Injection and Little Orange Bicycle. It wasn't just o.k.; it was rad.
Xome performed outside in the heat to the dumbfoundment of the passers-by. Also we saw Smite!, Hypnotic Injection and Chopstick. A bunch of really nice battery powered sets... plus the train was right there.
Xome was fortunate enough to perform in Instagon's super noise mixer set.
Performing also was Blood Into Water, Liver Cancer and Smite!
I'm still wondering why the PA blew after 4 seconds.
This show was far away from civilization of any kind.
It was really neat to see Xdugef, Actuary, Liver Cancer, Waning, Audioemetic, Chopstick, Dog, Kill Kill Kill, Phog Masheen and more.
After a while, the local desert drunks started filing in and kicked our noisy asses outside. Little did they know that we were still partying extra hard outdoors.
About 4,500 people decided not to stay at home and crammed into a long, skinny SF style house to watch Xome, Neckhold, Instagon Trio, Mr. Mercury and Grr on Grr. Xome even played as a part of the Instagon Noise Trio. Good thing the back door was open.
This Sunday evening was made into a memorable event that even President Obummer found out about. Performing were Xome, Instagon Noise Trio, al Qaeda, Audioemetic, Liver Cancer and Terminal Curl. There was also one more project from LA that played but I really didn't catch the name. They were cool and had lots of nifty synths.
Short circuit.
Things started getting all crazy and stuff so a noise show was placed into the mix. Performing artists were +DOG+, Xome, Instagon Noise Trio, Chopstick, Medicine Cabinet, Liver Cancer and Boozehammer. Lots of socks.
October snuck up on us all and drug in the reality of the 12th NorCal Noise Festival. There were like 123127 different projects that performed over the three-day event. Xome happened to close out the first day at Luna's Cafe.
Well, Sacramento had plenty of audio and waffles on this day. Performing were DOG, Xome, Chopstick, Blood Into Water and the power cola consumer, Jolthower. Neck Hold came all the way from Australia but something happened and they could not make it to the show. It's probably something in the water.
We saw tight border patrolling in action this night. The esteemed hip noise rock of The Rita was refused entry from Canada into the United States. You can blame the government for this mishap. The show went on with Xome, Cloister, Asterisk and UFO as Bacteria. It turned into an all-American noise party with beef!
Xome just so happened to play right there on the kitchen table! Also performing in the living room were BoyZone, Clang Quartet and more. I didn't use the restroom there at all.
A bunch of folks went all the way upstairs to see the performaces of Xome, BoyZone and Clang Quartet. There was nothing all that interesting going on downstairs.
Sort of a more than monumental night with the likes of Jolthrower, Cerebral Roil, C.J. Borosque and your favorite bed-buddy, Xome.
The kick-off show of the monthly music torture series promising to be a flippin' good time for Bay Area presidents. People were forced to dance at this show. Guess who played the dancables: Thomas Dimuzio, EZ Jewce, Steel Neon, Pigs in the Ground or Xome?
Oh no! Another boatload of electronic crap spilled onto the audience's lap by Xome. Sorry about that!
Performing also were:
Redglaer, Moe! Staiano, (Waning), Tarantula Princess, Meatbowl (refused US entry at border), Moment Trigger, Kristal Marimba Lounge, Medicine Cabinet, I Died, Hobby Knife, Shrew Florist, Xenization, Smite! and Phog Masheeen.
Xome teamed up with Tiny Japacman, which just so happens to be my son, to bring on a son/father onslaught of family oriented harsh noise.
Also performing on this very day were: Earwicker, Ku/Heule/Dryer and Kyle Bruckman. Theremin Barney sort of didn't show up or something.
Many pancakes were gobbled up.
It really was sort of a hot August night in Sacramento with Instagon, Xome, C.J. Reaven Borosque, Audioemetic, Smite!, Medicine Cabinet and Chopstick.
There is a YouBoob video of the Xome set here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=h1A2qejBywo
Insane Chicago noise nights ensued and folks were severely entertained with the likes of Xome, TV Pow, The Fortieth Day + Noise Crush and Is.
Things got out of hand during the Xome set and partial nudity, moshing, clawing and fist pounding became the choice of a new generation.
I love it... brings me back to the punk days of the 1980s.
It really was something else... First just Xome performed live on the air then after a brief wiping-off-of-the-sweat break, the onslaught continued with a collaboration of sort with Michael Hartman (of TV Pow) and yours truly. This weekly radio show is produced and Hosted by Philip von Zweck.
Xome was fortunate enough to perform in Brent Gutziet's composition of cacophonous fun and pleasure. Other musicians played an array of musical instruments also performed in the piece (all were the main musicians for the entire 3-day event). To be more precise, they were Dudley Bayne, Todd Carter, Brent Gutziet, Kevin Davis, James Falzone, Michael Hartman, Boris Hauf, Brian Labycz, Jen-Clare Paulson and Jason Roebke.
Xome was playing as part of Instagon along side Lob, Marc Schneider (Med*cab) and Mao Sato (hey..! that's my shorty!). Microwave Windows and Medicine Cabinet also performed that very evening. It was a rough and tumble night in Tracy for sure.
All noiz alchoholic lovers were summoned to this kicking and panincking behaviorial noise show with sweet cake and motivational talk by M-Chocolatta. Musical perfomances by Bran Pos, The Genie, Xome and one other I didn't catch the name of. DJ stuff by Lady M from Switzerland.
Xome performed at the miraculous Eugene Noise Festival. The whole festival spanned three days with many, many amazing performers from all around the country side. Quite possibly the most fun one could have with your socks (and ball cap) on.
Noise vs. Mariachi? Noise won with the likes of Tourette, Xome, Cerumen Brain, Stimbox and Medicine Cabinet.
A big part of Sacramento was temporarily moved to San Francisco to entertain the masses in the foggy city. Performing were Audioemetic, Chopstick, Vankmen and Instagon (Lob, Oblivious, Stimbox, Xome and Zachary/Pink Canoes). Sacramento is now out of San Francisco, so don't worry.
This was an extreme night filled with extreme performances by Saplings, Xome, Eiliyas & Soundtrack for a Dream about a Movie about Nothing. It was so extreme that some things were broken. Extreme karaoke along with extreme drinking ensued after the live performances.
First there was barbequed birthday party with a white cake and cheap beer. When everyone was good and ready, the show started. The performers for the evening were PCRV, Crank Sturgeon, Xome, Tarantism and Psicologicos Traumas. I still have that birthday song stuck in my head.
Well, there were mostly metal bands that played that were fun to watch and listen to but, um, nobody was really there to hear some noise project perform. Oh well! Folks that performed were 100 Suns, Blueprint For A Torture Device, Blowupnihilist, Times Of Desperation and Xome. I did the claw a lot that night!
Flyer over here.
Xome boinked and bonked and made groovy sounds that the crowd will recall for days to come. Firewatch, Black September and Horeseflesh also played. A mean karaoke set ensued afterwards.
Xome joined Stimbox for a cacophonous live collaboration and a bit of hell broke loose. We had to quit when Satan® started to rear his ugly head. Also summoning the dark lord were Loachfillet, Tarpita Fleisch and Head Boggle Domo.
A new year was officially rung in with noise performances by Xome, Andre Custodio/Thomas Dimuzio, Horseflesh and Aspidodelone/Jonah Rust. OK. The rest of 2007 is allowed to continue.
This time it was a well publicized Brutal Sound Effects Festival. It was #40 to be exact. The wonderous lineup included: Psichologico Tramas (Joseph Hammer, Loachfillet, Albert Ortega, Mitchell Brown), James 'Twig' Harper, Skozey Fetisch, Beandip Troubadours (Branpos/Antiear), Xome, Hans Grusel's Krankenkabinet, Core of the Coal Man, Spider Compass Good Crime Band, Ecomorti and some sort of sound effects presentation by heejay KROB.
Xome performed the same evening as other wicked experimental and just plain mental artists. The Xome performance contained eyeball-rattling bass frequencies that made everyone in the place drunk without the use of alcohol.
A lovely moonlit night on the beach was transformed into a fire, sound and dance implosion! There was live music done in a soundtrack fashion by Rubber O Cement, Jorge Boehringer, Thomas Dimuzio, Xome, Mr. Wobbly and Fred Rinne. We also saw Japanese modern dancing performed by Monichi Fumi and Wolfgang Heinle. Poof! Then it was gone!
With Jess Rowland, Xome, stimbox and The Rabbles. Pretty much everyone ran outside during the harsh noise stuff. That was kinda funny.

A night like no other with Xome, Tralphaz, T.R., Yvonne, Compomicro-Dexall, Rubber O Cement and Damion Romero. Sadly, time didn't permit Control to perform but his presence was felt the whole evening.
Hek-of-kewl show with Toxic Loincloth, Privy Seals, Kevin Shields, Sex Jesus, Xome, Midmight and Pump Kinn & Don.
Quaint but oh-so-noisy live performances by Realicide, Xome, Audiometic, Night Nurse and Vank Man. Far from a wank fest.

Loads of people gathered to celebrate a most momentous event. Namely Monichi Fumi's birthday party. Performing musically were Brad Kraft, Spider Compass Good Crime Band, Egg Bologna Pardon me Calypso Germ Food Booth Moo Moo, No Face and Xome. There was also DJ music throughout the evening by Lady M and a special speech by Karla LaVey. Fumi is now 29 years old again.
Part of the week-long Mission Creep Festival, Xome decided to collaborate live with Tralphaz to whip up some sounds that supposedly were guaranteed not to disappoint. Also performing were Hans Grusel's Krankencabnet, Yasi Perata (Syrinx), Rubber O Cement, BULBS, T/R and Core of the CoalMan. There were also lots of nice visual stuff to look at as well.
I don't know why this was called a record release party because it was a CD that was released. Performing were Tarantism, Earwicker, Xome vs. Tralphaz, Eco Morti, The Ritualistic School of Errors, Critical Monkey and KROB.
A homey sort of intimate and restful performance featuring Oscillating Innards, Daniel Hintz and your pal Xome. The intimate home was then wrecked by really loud sounds.
Loads of yummy waffles and noise that seemed just as delicious by: Moe! Staiano, Xome, Tarantism, Kristal Barimba Lounge and Maniac!
Xome performed on this very evening along the likes of DEAD/BIRD, Argumetix, Runny Dumplings and Abandon Ship Together. Smoked pork.

This was an extra seething show with Xome, Power Circus, Slimelord, Nerotic Socks, Preshus and Speshul and Mr. Mercury.
This time Xome teamed up with Emil Beaulieau and made some old man noise that all the youngins were fearful of. Also performing were Oscillating Innards, Transient, Stimbox, Kevin Shields and Brian Miller and Heartworm. It's too bad that Can't couldn't perform.
It was live collaboration time with Xome vs. Tralphaz. Also performed were Jessica Rylan as Can't, Rubber (o) Cement, Vulcanus 68, Due Process (Emil Beaulieau & Thomas Dimuzio), Midmight, Brian Miller and Kevin Shields, Liz Albee and Georgio Marauder and Tullison Velt. By the way, Xome won!

Very large racks containing thousands of compact discs were moved out of the way to give room for Phroq, Lobbox? (stimbox+instagon), Klowd, No Sun and Xome. They were put back after the show was finished.
Another arbitrary Sunday evening transmogrified into a noise jubilee! Performing were Phroq, stimbox, Xome, Tralphaz, Oscillating Innards and Mid-might.

Smashing performances (literally) by Xome, Bran (...) Pos, Tina Butcher, Stimbox, C. J. Reaven Borosque and David Kendall. Not too many bones were broken which is a good thing though ears will continue to ring for the decades to come.
An otherwise lazy Sunday afternoon was transformed into a picnic full of noisy noise and games aplenty. Many stellar performers performed including Omnivorous Sensillum, Magnetic Stripper, (OS), Xome, Ettrick, Theremin Barney and Vulcanus 68.
Another unsleepy noise night at the incredibly cozy Sixes Hellhole! This fabulous show featured sonic awareness from Vertonen, Jason Talbot, Xome, Skullcaster, Sharkiface and Tecumseh. It was all good minus major technical difficulties of Xome.
The congregation that formed on this day were entertained not only by noise related video footage but live musical performances as well. Performing were Stimbox, Xome, The Rita, flatgrey, Blood Frequency, Burning Bush, //num, Grandpa Bigballs, Night Ape, Skrunt Skrunt, Ali Bosworth and Eric Gallipo. What a day for Canada!
Onlookers were treated to sounds and other types of mayhem from Dave Phillips, Justice Yeldham and the Dynamic Ribbon Device, Skozey Fetisch, Stimbox and Xome. Donk!
On this very night in the back alleys of downtown LA spectators could watch the likes of Guilty Connector, Lethal Firetrap, Bastard Noise (Wood + Nelson + Barnes), Xome, Damion Romero and Impregnable. Kee-ripes, man!
A very lucky handful of people came to see Guilty Connector + Bastard Noise, Lethal Firetrap, Xome, Gerritt and Spastic Colon. The smoke is still clearing out of the place.

People had to negotiate a) Capp Street b) gate w/intricate entry system c) tag-free elevator just to get to the top floor of SF Art and not only eat yummy waffles (why is this called noise pancakes?) and enjoy good people and good scenery out the window, but also to listen to the sonic mayhem caused by: Elise Baldwin, KROB, Xome, Skozey Fetisch and Earwicker. Xome played two times because once is never enough. A flyer is here.
Burning up the place were Audio Emetic, Sixes, The Bran...Pos, Instakunst, Wow LSD, Products of Conception, Delayed Sleep, Lepidorae and Xome!
Wonderful outdoor event where the sun shone brightly. Performing were Filthmilk, Deletist, Mr. Tickle, Hive Mind, Spider Compass and your friend, Xome. Other performers performed too!
Xome played this near-historic event with Prurient, Emil Beaulieau & Can't, Crank Sturgeon, Pedestrian Deposit, PCRV, Smegma, Nkondi, Okha and Bdong. The congregation of onlookers still don't believe what they saw.

Yau, The Cherry Point, Control, Pedestrian Deposit, UFO AS BACTERIA, Oscillating Innards and your friend in good faith, Xome. This engaging evening was filled to the brim with delectable acts such as Omnivorous Sinscillium, Rubber (O) Cement, Xome, Pedestrian Deposit and Oscillating Innards. Magnificent and marvelous all at the same time!
Fine yet somewhat dilapitated event which loads and loads of people came to see featuring Pedestrian Deposit, Stimbox, Xome, Democrisity, and Oscillating Innards.
A wonderous event including performances by Xome, Sixes, Stimbox, Loachfillet, and Oscillating Innards.
In store performances were seen on this evening by Emil Beaulieau, Xome, Prurient and Human is Filth. Part of the craziness was simulcast on the radio in Antwerp, Belgium.
I heard that HOSS stood for "House of Suffering Succotash". You better believe it. Performing in front of a small but lucky crowd were Xome, Emil Beaulieau and Prurient.
A biker bar it was and bikers there were. Performing that evening were Xome, Emil Beaulieau, Prurient, Laundryroom Squelchers, Matt Brinkman and Japanese Karaoke Unko Play.

Performing at the new and spacious location were Xome, Emil Beaulieau, Prurient, Laundryroom Squelchers, Sickness, Vartan, Human is Filth, Karlheinz, Negative Time, Zero Times Infinity and Immaculate Grotesque.
Too bad this one wasn't upstairs because downstairs we had Xome, Emil Beaulieau, Prurient, Bunny Brains, Seven Arts, Plantre and The Laundryroom Squelchers all performing.

On a night normally reserved for hard rockers, we heard beautiful grinding cacophony from Stimbox, Pin Needle Digits, U.F.O. as Bacteria and, hey, Xome too! Some people complained because they were supposed to bang their head really hard at the hard rock show that night but as it turned out they got to bang their head afterall.. the next morning, anyway.
The feckless folks who attended were treated to extravagant performances by Oscillating Innards, Stimbox, Pedestrian Deposit, Borful Tang and Xome. All brains were cleansed for at least a solid week.
Well, this was a happy night for harsh noise heads. Playing were Machiner, Klowd,Pedestrian Deposit, Randy Yau, Clew of Theseus, PCRV, Xome, Stimbox, Sickness and Products of Conception. There were two other days as well full of cacophonous fun.
There was this wonderful show in the good part of Oakland and people came to see the following performers: Clew Of Theseus, Stimbox, Pedestrian Deposit, Gong Gong, C.J. Reaven Borosque, Velocity Stack, Conure and your friend Xome. The appearance was given that people who witnessed this spectacle of noise were extremely entertained.
Well this show was held at someone's house with a most unlikely lineup. Performing were SICKNESS, Randy H.Y. Yau, Pedestrian Deposit, Rubber Cement, Oscillating Innards, Stimbox and, your's truly, Xome. The only thing missing from this 'house party' was the keg and a good PA.
A bittersweet evening of noise that will quite possibly change the history of the free world forever. Collected at one place we saw Randy H.Y. Yau, Stimbox, Pedestrian Deposit, Xome and Gong Gong. Mesmerized onlookers were treated to a virtual brunch of harshnoise.
Xome performed live on the air during the "The Analog of Origin" show hosted by Number 6. Pedestrian Deposit and Stimbox also played live on-air sets. Stupindous.
Well, this show turned into a night to be not forgotten... for a month or so anyways. Xome performed along the midst of Pedestrian Deposit, PCRV, BDONG, Sleeping with the Earth and Okha.
Xome played late and last and managed to crank out some dilapitated noise that will be remembered for at least a week... maybe two. Other performers that evening were SICKNESS, Saint of Killers, Pest, +DOG+, Yuinkolli, Pedestrian Deposit, Stimbox, Moe Staiano, Vertonen, and Pop Culture Rape Victim. Whatta night...
A noise event that managed to kick some serious arse... if arse kicking is your thing. This event was hopefully the first in an upcoming series of good noise shows in the Bay Area. Played that night was Uberkunst, Tom Dimuzio, Compomicro Dexall, Xome, Stimbox, Pedestrian Deposit, Saint of Killers and Guinea Pig. A flyer is here.
Spider Monkey (not Spire Monkey) from Billings started off this monumental event with his noise-DJ act. Next up were Empty also from Billings. A solid computer based sequence which ran amuk. After that was DCLXVI from Whitehall, MT. The harshest laptop based noise I've ever heard! Then came Pop Culture Rape Victim, again from Billings. Excellent noise.. excellent action. Eight enthusiastic thumbs up! Then Stimbox played a mean set of really psycadellic noizu. Xome played last and furious. Squeezed 3 hours of crunchy harshness into 13 minutes. This was supposedly the first ever noise show in Billings. I'm sure nobody who came to the show will ever forget...! A flyer is here.
Xome played first, fast and loud. There were a few people there who wished they had some earplugs but they didn't and now they still cannot hear all that well. Stimbox joined forces with Shitty Things and whipped up a broken rock noise frappachino deluxe. There was also a jazzy jazz outfit that played as well as a rawk band. I don't think it was an Ozzy cover band.
Xome flopped hair and made good noise at the Loft in Sacramento. Other performers were Stimbox, Pedestrian Deposit, Delayed Sleep and Shitty Things. The five people that were there had a decent injection of noise to close out the year. A flyer may be found here.
Xome played live on the radio waves during the "Live In Studio A" show on KDVS 90.3FM, Davis, CA. Stimbox also played the same hour. It was a frightning night of harsh noise for the avid radio listener.
Xome played a short but crunchy and squeaky harsh noise performance. Also playing were other miracles of noise like Critical Theatre, Deconstruct, Delayed Sleep, Pablo St. Chaos, Products of Conception, Sleeping with the Earth, Stimbox, and Stolen Light. Luna's Cafe is rather small and the PA was way too loud. A great night of noise. I found a review of sorts on the "Web" and decided to archive it here.

Xome pounded and made people believe. Also performing was Memaccer, 008, Goblins Short Hair, Pulse worm, BGM crew, Aufheben. People came and watched.
Xome joined forces with Stimbox and whooped butt at the Summer Noise Festival at this great hole in the wall called Bojangles. Folks were also graced with the delights of Cock ESP, Delayed Sleep, Uberkunst, Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits and perhaps Fourone500, The Bob Weirdos and DJ Rexor. They supposedly played as well. A flyer for the show can be found here.
Xome whipped up a THX mastered show which came to the delight of the folks standing toward the front of the stage. Also performing was K.K. Null and Illusion of Safety.
Xome used very little equipment that this time fit neatly in the freekin' club and played a lovely Saturday night set. Also performing were Merzbow, DooDooDoo, Jiro Ohashi, and Satoru Wono.
Here here. The bounciest and most disorganized Xome performance to date was right here on this very night. The fact that "Xome is Xome and always will be Xome" was hard-wired into everyone's brain. In theory it was a good show. Someone even yelled "Lynard Skynard" after the performance was all done. The others that also performed were Kentaro Hamasato and lots of DJs spinning discs.
Everyone came to the UFO Club to see Mo*Te, Xome, Yukiko, MSBR & K2 & Government Alpha & Evil Moisture (from the U.K.) & Rudolf (from Sweden), Kiyoshi Mizutani, Facialmess, Kazumoto Endo, Gomikawa (T. Mikawa & Pain Jerk), Stimbox (from San Francisco), Crack Fierce, *0 ( x - Maniac Pussy ) and Cracksteel get together and play one of those groovy noise shows. It was an evening of sounds ranging from the rediculous to the extreme. It seems like a lot of people who came were rather entertained.
I heard this one was called Extreme Attitude and that was the understatement of the evening. OK. So what. It was Xome's first time to play outside of Tokyo. The shinkan bullit train was ridden all the way to Nagoya to perform with lots of music bad-boys. For example, Negarobo (from Sapporo), Beach on You, Multiplex (from Tokyo). A good time was had by all.
An all night touchy feely nice night with Xome and lots of other cacophonic peoplez.
Xome played at this club that was this virtually unseen hole in the wall under a bridge in Aoyama, but the joke was on Xome. Lead singer and rhythm guitarist superstar, Rick Dobbs, fell into an open sewer and was pulled to safety by a scantily clad girl in a bunny outfit. People like TV Pow, who also played, stayed away from the stench that was emminating from Rick's poop-saturated jeans. Mike Hartman wrote something about this show so I snagged it and put it here. I hope he doesn't mind.
Lot's of people banged their little heads with Xome at the second day of this well-planned two day festival. We also saw the likes of Merzbow, Melt Banana, TV Pow (from the USA of A), Kirihito and Tsunoda / Furukawa. We wanted to drink Japanese sake floating on a little tray in a hot tub but they wouldn't lettuce. Mike Hartman wrote something about this show so I snagged it and put it here. I hope he doesn't mind. While I was stealing stuff, I found this flyer too.
It was also a low-tech, happy, all night noise fest with Xome and friends. Your friend and mine, Xome, got to bounce around with Incapacitants, TV Pow (from Chicago), Government Alpha, Crack Feirce, Crack Steel, Government Alpha, Building of Gel, Kazumoto Endo, Magmax and K2. Yes, 11 noisy noisicians all in a row. And we finally got to go back home at 6 AM. Mike Hartman wrote something about this show so I snagged it and put it here. I hope he doesn't mind.
Golly gee whizz! Xome got together with Yuuji Sashizawa who played percussion instruments and Souichirou Hamasaka & Shinobu Moshino who do the Butoh dance to make a spectacular outdoor noise and dance performance. This was part of the two-week Izumiwaku Project 1996 where artists, musicians and performers get together and do weird things with spoons. We even practiced for this one.
Biscuits?! No. One of those outrageous Xome performances! This time with Free Zone Dynamic Audio and .......
Gee what else?! Xome joined up with Barrell Organ (perhaps XomeOrgan?) to produce something that everyone liked and brought home with them in their minds. Mindanao performed too as well as H. Burger from Stereo. Urgesnake played too! Xome tried not to wreck the big amps at 20,000 volts. You have to had seen this....
Xome had this performance with Otomo Yoshihide, Astro Twin (Ami Yoshida and Utah Kawasaki), Satoru Wono, Yuko Nexus 6, Microscope and Tomomi Adachi as everyone's favorite master of ceremonies. Watch out! Xome used a long plastic tube of sorts. Click here for a flyer.
Death Squad (from San Francisco), Stimbox (from San Francisco), Xome, Killer Bug and a wonderful trio featuring Tsunoda Tsuguto and Mike Hartman. A virtual flying kinky kids fuck fest full of dissonance and excruciating imagery. jEsus Krrist! It was a blast from the future - right in my earhole. Click here for a flyer.
Xome had a taped segment on the "Pain Factory", a local access television program broadcast in the San Francisco Bay Area. The show featured live on-air performances from Killer Bug, Crawl Unit & Stimbox and included taped segments from Xome & MSBR.
This one was with Incapacitants, Mackerel Can Molding Company, Xome, Mindanao and Grand Mother Fucker. This night was filled with strangeness beyond the human imagination. We saw big bears craving fish, improvised muck rock and a rather bizzare performance sound-wise from Xome. Click here for a flyer.
It was with: Kiyoshi Mizutani (ex - Merzbow), Killer Bug, Xome, Barrel Organ and Y. Hasegawa! It was quite a show. We saw power electronics being abused and abused as well as Kiyoshi Mizutani using wood for a mind boggling sound source. Click here for a flyer. There was also another flyer that you may look at by Clicking here.
Xome members, lead by artist Eriko Sato, participated in a month long exhibit at the famed Oka Garou (Gallery). Alien life forms and UFO pics were placed in the window and hi-tech noise making radio equipment summoned alien craft. Visitors had to sign a release form before operating the equipment. No humans were harmed during this exhibit.
The Japan Transcendental Cacophony hosted a cornucopia of cacophony with Merzbow, Xome, CCCP, Killer Bug and Pain Jerk. People came. People cried. People left. People will always remember. There will be some real Xome photos taken at this one for you to gaze at and wonder. Click here for an excuse for a show review. Click here for a flyer. Click here if you want to see a copy of the ticket that was scanned in.
A honest-to-goodness performance because Xome split lots and lots of ears and scared everyone. It was with Mackerel Can Moulding Company, Lemon (?), Butthole Cosuck, and the ever so amazing, Sukarabe Jizo. Sometimes I wonder.
A true blue performance because this incredible performance was sponsored by the Japan Trancsendental Cacophony Association . CCCC, Pain Jerk, Grand Mother Fucker, Xome, Cult Junk Cafe and Pukoo put on a extreme and extremly jolly good show. A lot of people came to see this one but the world didn't end the next day. Thanks to the great gum of alien abductions. Click here for a fun, fun show review. Click here for a flyer.
An honest to gum performance because on this incredible night, you were enlightened by Grand Mother Fucker, Little Fujiko, Xome, Piraneji and Hormone Rider. It was actually guaranteed to be a show never to be forgotten and nobody has so far. And that's all...
In one evening, live on stage...Pukoo, Xome, Yohei Hasegawa. Not too many people showed up but the ones that did were more than entertained. Perhaps the most outstanding Xome performance to date. If you missed it, kick yourself once, forget about it because you can't go back in time, and come to the next performance.
A real performance because a nice name was gracefully stuck on this mother. Xome performed with : Puckoo, the Subways, Yohei Hasegawa project. Hmmm, we kind of thought that this one was going to be done at Yaneura again but, confusion for the masses.... it was at 20,000 V.
The smash performance was with: Bubii, Xome, Little Fujiko, Daiichi Chinpo Jiru, The Subways, and was that's it. Many wonderful photographs were taken by Yoichi Kayama during this event of the week. What a pal.
Xome was on one stage at one time with Akita Masami (Merzbow), Nakahara Masaya (Violent Onsen Geisha), Sakaibara Tetsuo (Saharin Factory), Takei Yoshimichi Dance Company, Kosakai Fumio (Incapacitants), Pain Jerk, Reiko A. (Merzbow) and more... The details can been seen by pointing and clicking here!
A real performance withith Xome, Gaji, Butcher and Bonds, Grand Afro Master and Scraps.
A real performance because Xome went out on a limb with Merzbow, C.C.C.C.II, Seiichi Yamamoto, (Boredoms, Omoide Hatoba), Kumiko Yamamoto and time didn't permit M. Jackson to go on. Sob. Shoot here for a lovely show review. If you want to see a flyer, click here. If you're in to looking at the listing in Pia magazine, click here.
Xome performed in a very live situation with rolling eggs and talking salespeople. Slurp! Click here for a show review.
